To Save a Life Or Not(Terry Schiavo)

Hey my comments on the Terry Schiavo situation. I never got around to posting about this. It was sad to hear about Terrys illness which caused a limited capacity stae for the last 15 years. Many people say that she was better off dead and that the life shhe was living was not really living. Im amased that the same people will say that Terrys state was not living, yet be upset that pets or animals are put in life threatening situations or some animals killed for fur coats. Let me make it more personal. When I was a baby, I was sick that I couldnt breathe oxygen on my own. Yes I was in a incubator and had ivs and tubes to help me eat and breathe. (similar To terry she couldnt eat on her own) And the doctors, nurses, friends of the family,parents said that I would not make it on my own. The diagnosis for me? give the kid his last rites, which they did and make funeral arrangements. Because it was 10% me making it verses 90% me not making it. At that point my live would have consisted of me living with some type of machine. But God had another plan and was able to heal my lungs and the next day I was able to breathe without machines. The next day I was 90% making it verses 10% not. My point is: we often write people off that we see as useless and when odds are not good , but God does not give up on people. If he did I think we all know were we would be headed.
