Mom's illness

On a sad note, my Mom is losing nearly all of her eyesight. She has developed macular degenerative disese in her eyes. Bassically, the blood vessels behind her eyes have swollen and burst causing blood on the retina. She can see alittle but there is a hugh dark spot in the center of her vision. She has had laser treatments but they dont seem to be working. It may be necessary for her to go into assisted living. The reason why she has this condition is her chain smoking habit over many years. Apparently, smoke getting in her eyes over the years has caused this condition to be onset alot earlier than normal.(my grandma had this condition at 96, my Mom got it at 78.) To make matters worse, my brother who is a very successful business person doesnt call or visit hardley at all even though he lives 10 mins from her in florida. When my mom got this disease, I though that she would be more open to having a relationship with Jesus. but she still claims that she went to church and believes in God. She still thinks you dont need to have a relationship with God and in the read or obey the whole bible. She is basically indifferent to the gospel and Jesus.(she attended Vineyard Columbus on easter and said it was fine, even though she disagreed with the pastor) . So please pray that God would heal her physically and spiritually before her time on earth is up. thanks
