how i spent my birthday .....in the ER

Yes that right!!!! I woke up today still with 101 fever and d.b. kickin....my side hurt a little and I went to urgent care. Urgent care said that I may have apendixsidas and sent me to the ER. They stuck my with a IV and I waited and waited and waited oh yea I waited. Then I got a catscan and waited and waited. They made me drink this McNasty citrus drink but I couldn't pee and got stomach pains and waited and waited. They said my apendix was enlarged but not inflamed. Whatever that means. Then I went home. Thanks to kara murphy for being there!!!!

Im sick of being sick

I have been sick in bed for the past few days with the flu. I had 102 temp on monday and couldnt hold down water. I feeling a liitle better today and my fever is 99.5. Thanks to Kara for bringing me chicken broth the other night. a nurse at work said my immune system was weakened because of my immunizations for africa. anyway to sum it up...the flu stinks.

Dave Hill's Birthday is April 29th. Please leave birthday messages, but more importantly come to the birthday bash.

Saturday, May 1st at 7:30 PM there will be a Birthday party at 2992 Bremen St. for David D. Hill.

We will have Chili (Veggi and Meat), Corn Bread, Cake, and badminton (weather permitting - pray for nice weather). This is also going to be an outreach opportunity because we are inviting our neighbors (we have been working hard to reach out to them). Please come if you can!!

I'm new & thank you!!

This is an interesting way to relate to others and get thoughts and ideas out. I'm amazed that people already know we are on a blogger(?). I love the loving and encouraging words that Dave & Kristi Webster and Gregg Hay have already written. I'm so happy that people like you are in our lives. Gregg you have always consistently been a great friend to Dave. I appreciate you so much for that. Dave W. & Kristi W. I'm so glad that Dave H. is going on to Africa with you. I know how you are and your encouraging words will be such a needed blessing for Dave H.

I don't know if I have any deep thoughts for the day. I do know that I wish our blog spot was as cool as Dave and Kristi's but hey we are just starting.

Think about this: "When you were born you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a manner that when you die the world cries and you rejoice."

a new look already

I changed the title because this blog will be coowned by mself and my beautiful fiancee Kara Murphy. Now, I know blogs are usually for 1 but hey kara and i will become 1 soon. That right !!!For those who dont know...I will be blessed with the most cutest,hotest,smartest,funniest,most compassionate,most loving, most caring,most self sacrifing,most loves me for me,most Godly girl ever!!!!! weekend what weekend???

Was there a weekend this weekend? Oh yeah I was at a vli intensive this weekend. Don "preach it brotha" williams was in town. He spent almost 2 1/2 hours(first 3 chapters) giving good stuff on 1 john today. Ill admit I was glad when Steve Robbins demanded a break at that point. im not the type who gets up and leaves when someone is teaching or preaching like donny W does. He is probley one of the most empowered speakers I have heard....a key theme i took from it was loving God.. and loving others well and that is done through obediance...abiding in Jesus and walking in the light.. The catch phrase of the weekend???As me so you!!!!

hello welcome to my blog. To kick this baby off let me give a little intro about me.

well it all started in a suburban town of huntington NY on april 29th 1970. It is a middle to upper class community of very ethnic peoples. Yea the town was about 50 miles east of manhattan so you can immage it. Very Italian, andVery Jewish.,very russian, very german....You get the idea ! Let's just say that I was a minority in the fact that I didnt speak another language. actually the Jewish holidays were a mandatory day off from school.(yea Yom Kippur, Yea Roshashana(spl) I grew up liking the yankees..(I was on the third base line at the 80 World Series- Yanks-Dodgers game 1) My favorite player was craig nettles who played third base for them. I was converted to a reds fan when I moved to ohio in 94...but deep down still like to see them win when they are in the playoffs. My family life growing up was not as exciting as you might think living in the NY Metro area. that will be continued on the next post...sorry im new to this.
